It amazed me that at age 24 when I wrote that, it was probably the first time I entertained the concept of life coming out of death and how important that is to the existence of every Earthly being. It is certainly not something most people think about regularly since we are sadly so disconnected from our food sources and environments. I forget sometimes, too.
Composting is such a worthwhile endeavor--whether it's in physical form or an inner process.
